As soon as the banner was hoisted at the hospital entrance, our UCSD trauma team members from various locations received a call from Patricia Stout (assistant trauma program manager) to come down and gather around at the entry way where the banner is located at 2:45 pm on May 1, 2007.  Every one of us knew exactly what to do when facing this type of situation, especially the moment we spotted our Trauma Chief and a digital camera mounted on a tripod.  We were proud to stand shoulder to shoulder sharing the same goal as a team underneath the banner.  In our hearts, it was a magic moment.
