Feb 13, 2007 at 3:00PM our trauma team led by Dr. Raul Coimbra gathered around the helicopter landing pad to get a clear look of how the San Diego Fire & Rescue handles rescue missions under various types of weather and unexpected emergency calls. This included various techniques developed over time since the unit was established to serve the County of San Diego.  In addition to the search and rescue mission, their roles also include first aid and transportation of the injured to appropriate trauma center in the County.  This event was part of the February Trauma Conference.
